Job Summary
The Senior Manager of Technical Training will assume a strategic role in the leadership and management of technical training development and implementation. This will include direct responsibility for the planning, implementation, metrics, reporting, and effectiveness of these programs in addition to the streamlining and continuous improvement of the programs throughout the organization while ensuring the programs meet all regulatory requirements. The Senior Manager will develop a comprehensive training program for external and internal stakeholders utilizing various training methodologies and technologies to increase the effectiveness of the training opportunities to support effective and efficient work. The position will be responsible for continuous improvement of technical training curriculum, training content and administration of technical training courses.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive technical training program for external and internal stakeholders utilizing various training methodologies and technologies. Design instructional packages or training modules; determine specific learning tasks, sub-tasks, and content; write and sequence performance objectives and develop performance measures; integrate delivery techniques to enhance classroom-based, e-learning, and other instructional delivery methods. Manage implementation of the training program and effectiveness assessment. Develop and publish Training & Compliance Monthly Report with KPIs and updates on key monthly activities.
- Works with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to identify objectives, gather material, structure effective lessons, and develop assessment tools appropriate for technical and field audiences; writes, revises, and edits training, work processes, and procedure documents from information provided by SMEs. Analyzes material for logic, completeness, focus, clarity, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Identify training needs by consulting with different stakeholders and conducting needs analysis. Consult with SMEs and Technical Trainers regularly to ensure accuracy and relevance of content to training; work with and facilitate design teams and ensure timely development of training modules.
- Participate in meetings to set strategic direction and oversite to the Compliance function's Operator
Qualification Program. Ensure the relevance of the OQs through continuous evaluation and uniformity throughout the organization. Ensure the OQ program is effective in training and evaluating employees and contractors. Create metrics and continually evaluate the validity and reliability of the program in the training process while ensuring regulatory requirements are met. Engage with stakeholders including operations supervisors, technical support, and others to assess their documentation and training needs and ensure that they are being met. - Annual development, oversight, and management of the Technical Training budget and provides leadership and oversight of all field training facilities and personnel. Selecting and managing resources including both internal employees and training vendors to develop training staff. Provide opportunities for training certifications and continuous education of training staff including new employees and existing training staff.
- Establish relationships with community partners and engage external stakeholders to promote the success of the organization and identify opportunities for mutually beneficial collaborations.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in education, training, technical writing, business or engineering. Master's degree in education or business preferred
- 8 to 12 years of experience
